Tamil Nadu Higher Education Minister Kovi Sezhiyan criticized Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) leader and actor Vijay’s political moves during the foundation stone-laying for a Rs 170.22 crore modern rice storage godown in Naduvur near Orathanadu, Thanjavur district.Chief Minister M.K. Stalin inaugurated the facility via video from Chennai, capable of storing 1 lakh rice bags with a concrete platform and roof. Addressing reporters, Sezhiyan likened Vijay—who vows to win Tamil Nadu after conquering Puducherry—to “someone who can’t catch a chicken on the roof claiming to show Vaikuntha from the sky,” urging him to first contest and form a government in the state.
Sezhiyan called Vijay ambition without limits, amid ongoing surveys of Delta crop losses from incessant rains by agriculture and revenue officials. The government pledged swift compensation, with ministers facilitating aid pathways.
