DMK deputy general secretary and former minister K. Ponmudi hit back at AIADMK leader Edappadi K. Palaniswami (EPS), accusing him of fear-mongering and subservience to BJP after EPS alleged government freebies like bicycles and laptops target elections.Defending Stalin’s Initiatives Distributing free bicycles to students at government schools in Tirukkoyilur, Villupuram district, Ponmudi asserted Chief Minister M.K. Stalin genuinely works for education growth. He framed laptops as tools for modern skill-building, dismissing EPS’s barbs: “He’s terrified, realizes he can’t return to power, and now acts as BJP’s slave—free to rant.”
Ponmudi highlighted Tamil Nadu’s progress over four-plus years under Stalin, claiming people recognize the achievements and reject EPS’s rhetoric. “Critics can nitpick, but it doesn’t faze us,” he added, urging unity behind proven governance ahead of 2026 polls.
