AIADMK general secretary Edappadi K. Palaniswami (EPS) has claimed that Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin is rattled by the growing strength of the AIADMK-led alliance, with more parties expressing interest in joining the front.Speaking at a public meeting in T Nagar on Saturday, EPS said Stalin is losing sleep as public sentiment turns against the DMK. “This is not the Parliament election but the Assembly polls. People have made up their minds to vote DMK out,” he said.
He accused the DMK of political hypocrisy, recalling the party’s past ties with the BJP. “Now they criticise us for aligning with the BJP, but conveniently forget their own past alliances,” EPS remarked.
EPS added that Stalin was “daydreaming” that BJP would stay away from AIADMK. “Now that the alliance is successful, he has caught election fever,” he said, adding that several other parties are in talks to join the alliance, which he believes will secure a resounding victory in 2026.
Criticising the DMK government, EPS accused it of corruption and neglect. “Instead of helping the poor, Stalin is busy enriching his family,” he alleged. He also blamed the ruling party for rising crime, drug abuse among students, and deteriorating law and order.
EPS urged party workers to gear up for the 2026 Assembly elections and work hard to fulfil the people’s aspiration to remove the DMK from power.
