Tamil Nadu BJP president Nainar Nagendran has accused Chief Minister M.K. Stalin of being gripped by fear of electoral defeat and constantly focusing on the BJP-AIADMK alliance instead of addressing pressing public issues.
Speaking to reporters, Nagendran said, “Law and order has collapsed under the DMK regime. The murder of an elderly couple in Erode and the recent killing of the Congress district president in Tirunelveli clearly show the deteriorating situation. There has been no resolution in these cases so far.”
He further alleged that Chief Minister Stalin seems preoccupied with the opposition alliance. “He speaks only about the BJP-AIADMK coalition all the time, which shows he is anxious about losing,” Nagendran said.
Highlighting issues in the southern districts, the BJP leader said, “Students are increasingly falling prey to drug addiction. In Tirunelveli, people receive drinking water only once every 15 days. Even in Kanyakumari, there is no access to safe drinking water. Despite this, the Chief Minister and his ministers remain indifferent and continue to focus on election alliances.”
Nagendran also commented on Stalin’s recent directive asking DMK MLAs to work from their constituencies over the next year. “This shows that DMK legislators have done nothing for the past four years,” he claimed.
He criticized the Chief Minister’s contradictory stance on the Governor. “After repeatedly attacking the Governor, Stalin now says there is no power struggle with him. How can anyone accept such a U-turn?” he asked.
