There are rumours that Vikram Prabhu may play the lead in a movie that will be bankrolled by Madras Talkies and directed by his associate Daya.

Aishwarya Rajesh and Madonna Sebastian form part of the cast. Music is by Govind Vasantha.

Meanwhile, after Thuppaki Munai, Vikram Prabhu will shoot for a film in which he plays a cop. Directed by Tamilarasan, a former associate of director Vetri Maaran, the film is touted to be an intense investigative thriller.

Potential Studios LLP, which produced films like Maanagaram and Maya, will be bankrolling the project.

A source close to the team says, “Vikram Prabhu will play strict police officer in the film. The plot is completely inspired from a real-life incident and major portions will be shot in the outskirts of Chennai. Though it’s a crime thriller, people can easily relate to the characters in the film. Other casts are yet to be finalised.”
