A total of 139 students, with a CTC (cost to company) of Rs 6 lakh per annum, from the 2018 graduating batch were recruited during the campus recruitment drive held at VIT campus in Vellore between 27 and 29 August 2017.

NIT Tiruchirapalli won the overallchampionship of the All India Inter-NIT Sports meet, held at NIT Tiruchirapalli. NIT Trichy men won the cricket, volleyball and basketball while NIT women won the volleyball tourney to emerge as the overall winner.
