Tamil Nadu Chief Minister and DMK leader M K Stalin has issued a rallying call to all allies of the DMK-led INDIA bloc, urging them to come together in solidarity to ensure a resounding victory in the upcoming Lok Sabha polls scheduled for April 19. In a statement released on Tuesday, Stalin emphasized the critical importance of defeating the 10-year BJP regime and safeguarding the democratic principles enshrined in the Constitution.Stalin welcomed all allies who stand united with the DMK, emphasizing their shared mission of securing victory for the INDIA bloc to protect the country’s diversity and uphold constitutional democracy. He underscored the need to confront and defeat communal forces that pose a threat to India’s pluralistic ethos.
The Chief Minister described the upcoming Lok Sabha elections as an “ideal opportunity” to overthrow the BJP-led government, which he accused of undermining the rights of states and implementing anti-people policies. He highlighted the track record of success achieved by the DMK-led secular alliance in previous elections and reaffirmed the alliance’s commitment to continuing this legacy of victory.
While expressing regret for the inability to allocate seats to some allies, Stalin clarified that seat distribution was based on available seats and the overall strength of the alliance. He assured that every decision was made in consultation with all allies and aimed at maximizing the alliance’s electoral prospects.
