Chennai: There was drama and confusion last night as actor Vijay Sethupathi, who was selected for Tamilnadu government’s Kalaimamani award, did not receive the honour.

Sources say that though Vijay Sethupathi’s name was there in the list, the invitation did not reach him on time leading to confusion.

But there are speculations that the actor’s alleged speech against abrogation of Article 370 in Kashmir to a radio station in Australia recently could have led to the situation. However, the exact reason is not known.
