Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin on Wednesday emphasised the value of sports in building character among young people.
Speaking to a group of accomplished young athletes from across the state, Stalin said that sports help individuals develop self-confidence, discipline, and the ability to handle pressure—qualities that go beyond winning medals.
Stalin, who met the players and shared a video of the interaction on social media, said he was impressed by the clarity and confidence shown by the young sportspersons. He observed that their focus, perseverance, and discipline are the true strengths that shape champions, not just their medal achievements.
The Chief Minister added that these athletes are not only excelling in their sports but are also contributing to Tamil Nadu’s future legacy. He said their dedication gives him confidence in the state’s youth and their ability to succeed in various fields.
