A total of 76,181 candidates from Tamil Nadu, out of the 1.35 lakh who appeared, made it to the qualified list of NEET-UG 2025, with six of them finding place in the top 100 ranks.TN topper S Soorya Narayanan came 27th with 99.99 percentile, followed by Abhineet Nagaraj at the 50th rank, GS Pugazhendhi at the 61st rank, K S Hruthik Vijaya Raja at 63rd, AJ Rakesh at 78th and G Prajan Srivari G at the 88th position.
This was Soorya’s first attempt at NEET. The Tirunelveli native graduated as the school topper, securing 495 out of 500 marks.
“He achieved this through self-learning and no coaching,” his father Sankara Subramanian who works as a travelling ticket examiner (TTE) with the Southern Railway said.
