Following the theatrical release of Padai Thalaivan, actor Shanmuga Pandian has successfully wrapped up filming for his next project, KombuSeevi. To celebrate the completion of the shoot, the actor personally felicitated the film’s entire crew by gifting them new clothes and hosting a grand biriyani feast.Directed and written by Ponram, best known for Varuthapadatha Valibar Sangam, KombuSeevi promises to transport viewers to a world of “grit, glory, and ultimate alaparai,” bringing alive the “wild west vibes of Usilampatti.” The story draws inspiration from real incidents that occurred in the Usilampatti-Andipatti region during the year 1996, aiming to present a rugged and historically grounded narrative.
The film features R Sarathkumar in a key role, alongside Kaali Venkat, Kalki Raja, and Tharnika in prominent parts. Backed by a strong technical team, KombuSeevi boasts music by Yuvan Shankar Raja, cinematography by Balasubramaniem, editing by Dinesh Ponnuraj, and action choreography by Phoenix Prabhu and Saravana Sakthi.
