The music and trailer launch of the upcoming Tamil film ‘Akkenam’, starring Arun Pandian and Keerthi Pandian, was held grandly in Chennai. The film is directed by debutant Udhay K and produced by A&P Groups.

‘Akkenam’ features an ensemble cast including Seetha, Shiv Pink, Adithya, Ramesh Thilak, Praveen Raja, and Kalki. Music is composed by Bharath Veeraraghavan, with sound design by Vignesh Govindarajan, and editing by Devadhyan. The film is presented as an intense thriller, with Saravanan and A.K. Sekar serving as co-producers.

At the event, composer Bharath Veeraraghavan expressed gratitude to his mentors and producers, highlighting how Arun Pandian supported the film with a generous budget, far exceeding expectations. He praised lyricists Mohan Rajan and Karthik Netha, and lauded Keerthi’s performance and Arun Pandian’s transformation in the film.

Director Udhay K stated that the film emphasizes strong female characters, inspired by his mother. He thanked Arun Pandian for believing in a team of newcomers and offering them a platform.

Actress Keerthi Pandian recalled her first meeting with the director and admired his technical finesse from a short film he had earlier directed. She emphasized the importance of choosing stories with responsibility and described her character, Indira, as a gap driver, a role she found personally exciting due to her love for driving.

Actor-producer Arun Pandian remarked that no special chief guests were invited to the event to avoid exaggerated praise. He said the team created a film they personally believed in and promised audiences a film worth their money. Highlighting the work of new technicians, he expressed confidence in the strength of the story and the passionate energy of the crew.

‘Akkenam’ is set for a worldwide theatrical release on July 4th.
