To support students appearing for supplementary board exams, Chennai Corporation-run schools will begin special coaching classes from June 2. This initiative aims to help students in Classes 10, 11, and 12 better prepare for their upcoming exams and improve their academic performance. The supplementary exams are scheduled as follows: Class 12 exams will start on June 25, while Classes 10 and 11 will begin their exams on July 4. To ensure effective preparation, expert teachers from each zone will be selected to coach, guide, and motivate students during these sessions. The classes will be conducted in both morning and evening sessions throughout June, with proper arrangements for nutritious meals, clean classrooms, and safe drinking water. The new academic year has also witnessed a significant rise in enrollment across 420 Corporation schools, with over 16,000 students enrolling, compared to just 6,000 last year. Kindergarten (LKG and UKG) admissions have crossed 8,000, thanks to the Corporation’s successful door-to-door outreach and provision of transport facilities. Additionally, special guidance will be offered to Class 10 students on TNPSC Group IV exams and to Class 12 students on applying for JEE, NEET-UG, and college admissions. These sessions will begin early in the academic year, aiming to build strong foundations and open up future career opportunities for students.
