Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin has urged the Central Government to rename Tejas and Vande Bharat trains in Tamil Nadu with Tamil names instead of Sanskrit ones.

He questioned the BJP’s claim of PM Modi’s love for Tamil, demanding the removal of Hindi from Central offices in the state and equal recognition for Tamil as an official language. Stalin also called for more funding for Tamil, recognition of Thirukkural as India’s national book, and new railway projects for Tamil Nadu.

He insisted that Tamil Nadu’s trains should have Tamil names, following traditions like Semmozhi, Vaigai, and Thirukkural Express.
