Madurai, Aug 10:  In observance of Mahalaya Amavasya, a special pilgrimage train will be operated from Madurai to Kashi and Gaya via Chennai.

The special train is scheduled to depart from Madurai on September 30 and will pass through Dindigul, Tiruchirappalli, Villupuram, and Chennai Egmore on its way to the holy cities of Kashi and Gaya. The 10-day special tour offers different classes of accommodation, with fares set at ₹20,500 for Sleeper Class and ₹23,600 for Third AC.
