Tamil Nadu government has announced that students interested in pursuing film-related courses can apply for the Bachelor of Visual Arts courses offered by the MGR Government Film and Television Training Institute starting May 2, Thursday.
According to a release issued by the State government on Tuesday, students can download the application forms from the official website www.tn.gov.in and submit the filled-in applications via post.
The Bachelor of Visual Arts program offers specializations in Cinematography, Digital Intermediate, Audiography, Direction and Screenplay writing, Film Editing, Animation, and Visual Effects. The application window will remain open from May 2 to May 20 through the www.tn.gov.in portal.
Applicants are required to submit their filled-in applications along with all relevant documents to the Principal, MGR Government Film and Television Training Institute, CIT campus, Taramani, Chennai – 600113, via post. The deadline for the submission of applications is May 27 by 5:00 pm.
The release emphasized that applications received after the specified deadline of 5:00 pm on May 27 will not be accepted. Additionally, students are advised not to visit the institute in person to collect the application forms.
This announcement opens up opportunities for aspiring filmmakers and individuals passionate about the art of cinema to pursue formal education and training in various aspects of filmmaking.
