AICC President Mallikarjun Kharge delivered a scathing critique of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s unfulfilled promises, labeling them as “false” and accusing them of leaving the people in “utter disarray.” Speaking at an election rally organized by the INDIA bloc to support Congress nominee V Vaithilingam in the upcoming Lok Sabha polls, Kharge highlighted the unmet assurances made by the PM, including the pledge of creating two crore jobs annually for youth, which remained unimplemented.
Kharge also pointed out the lack of price hikes for farmers’ produce and the failure to deliver on the promise of Rs 15 lakh for every individual from the retrieval of black money stashed abroad. He asserted that such guarantees were deceitful, resulting in the disillusionment of the people who were promised progress but left unfulfilled.
Emphasizing the significance of the upcoming Lok Sabha polls, Kharge urged the people to support the INDIA bloc to safeguard their fundamental rights and uphold democracy. He criticized the BJP for its inability to curb inflation and accused PM Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah of misusing enforcement agencies to target opposition MPs and MLAs, coercing them to switch allegiance to the BJP.
Kharge denounced the BJP’s tactics of arm-twisting and harassment when unable to secure power, alleging that such methods undermined the democratic process and threatened the integrity of elected representatives from the opposition.
