In a dramatic turn of events in Chennai, Alisha Abdullah, the State Secretary of the Sports & Skill Development Cell of the Tamil Nadu BJP, has accused Dr. Kalanidhi Veeraswamy, a DMK MP, of attempting to grab land next to his office in Anna Nagar. The BJP leader took to social media to voice her concerns, alleging ongoing efforts by the DMK MP to seize property belonging to her in-laws.
In a post on social media platform X, Alisha Abdullah claimed that around 10 pm in Anna Nagar East, DMK’s MP Dr. Kalanidhi Veeraswamy and his associates blocked her in-law’s car, harassing them in what she described as an ongoing effort to acquire the property situated above his rented office space. She accused the MP of causing a nuisance to her elderly in-laws on multiple occasions in an attempt to claim the property.
Expressing her dissatisfaction with the response from the authorities, Alisha Abdullah accused the police of bias when she sought their intervention in the matter. She lamented that instead of upholding public service, the police were contributing to public nuisance.
The BJP leader further detailed the alleged encounter with Dr. Kalanidhi Veeraswamy, claiming that she witnessed him fleeing the scene in his car upon her arrival. She emphasized that, as an elected Member of Parliament, Veeraswamy should uphold his oath and not misuse his power to harass the common public.
In a stern message, Alisha Abdullah declared her intent to file a case against the DMK MP, vowing to fight the legal battle alone if necessary. She expressed her determination to ensure that Veeraswamy does not misuse his influence and power to harass ordinary citizens.
The accusations and subsequent public exchange underscore the intensity of the political tensions and legal battles that can unfold at the intersection of party politics and property disputes. As the situation develops, it remains to be seen how the authorities will respond to the serious allegations made by Alisha Abdullah against the DMK MP and the claims of police bias in the matter.
