Speaking to reporters after inspecting temple consecration works in Mayiladuthurai Mayuranathar temple, the Minister said, Ever since our government took charge, we have conducted kumbhabhishekams in 918 temples. Over 30 temples saw such an event after 100 years’.

Mayuranathar temple will be renovated at a cost of Rs 9 cr. HR&CE dept will contribute Rs 2 cr and the rest will be through donations from devotees.
