A Tamil news channel’s cameraman died in a road accident in the southern district of Tirunelveli. Shankar, 33, of the Tamil news channel, died in a road accident near the Nanguneri toll plaza on August 23while returning to Tirunelveli from Thiruvananthapuram in Kerala where he was reporting on Chandrayaan-3. Two others who travelled with him sustained injuries.
Condoling his demise, MK Stalin announced a relief of Rs 5 lakh to be provided to his kin from the Chief Minister’s Public Relief Fund.
