City hospital reaches out to corona patients

Chennai: Covid -19 has been on the rise in Chennai in the recent weeks. With the government already working on a war footing, private hospitals too have chipped in to play an active role to contain this pandemic.

City-based Venkataeswara Hospitals situated at Chamiers Road, Nandanam, has created a special 50-bed ward for treatment of those afflicted with the
coronavirus.

According to Dr Su Thillai Vallal, managing director of the hospital, all efforts have been made to treat those afflicted with the pandemic with the creation of a special ward at the hospital that is caring for those needing special care and attention.

He said the 50-bed special ward has facilities for isolating people with symptoms of corona apart from offering the best of treatment with a band of doctors and nurses and a dedicated team of other professionals.

The special ward is located at a separate area and it is not connected in any way to the main hospital, all for stopping the spread of the disease.
