The Union Home Ministry has announced that the nationwide lockdown in containment zones will be extended till 30 June. It has also issued guidelines for reopening of all banned activities in other areas in a phased manner.

The expert medical team today suggested extension of lockdown in Chennai and three neighbouring districts where the coronavirus positive cases were increasing exponentially.
