Chennai: The State Health department has announced that 536 more persons tested positive for Covid-19 today, taking the total count of coronavirus affected persons to 11,760.

In Chennai alone, 364 persons tested positive for pandemic today. The count of affected persons has crossed 7,000 in the capital city. The department said 46 persons who reached Tamilnadu from Maharashtra were today confirmed with coronavirus infection.

Three more people died because of Covid-19 today, taking the toll to 81. As many as 234 persons were discharged after recovery today, taking the total number of recovered numbers to 4,406.

Hence, a total number of 7,270 persons are currently getting treatment for coronavirus infection in various parts of Tamilnadu.
