Chennai: Figures released by Greater Chennai Corporation today reveal some interesting numbers in connection with coroavirus cases in the metropolis.

Out of the 15 zones, Royapuram stands on top 73 infections, with eight reported on Friday alone. Thiru Vi Ka Nagar stands second with 33 cases, Valasarwakkam third with 26 cases and Anna Nagar fourth with 24 cases.

Interestingly, Ambattur and Manali zones have reported zero cases so far. Corporation sources said the civic body has increased measures to check the spread of the pandemic.

As on 10 am today (18 April), the total number of cases in Chennai stood at 228.
