Mumbai’s monorail services were disrupted again on Monday morning after a train heading towards Wadala came to a sudden halt due to a technical glitch. According to the Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA), 17 passengers were evacuated safely at 7.45 am after the train stopped mid-ride.Ward 175 Councillor Rajesh Ananda Bhojane, who was present at the spot, said the disruption was caused by a supply issue. “The train heading to Wadala halted. The passengers were transferred to the train coming from Chembur. Fire Brigade came later and started their operation. Monorail officials are saying that it was a supply issue… I urge the government to resolve this recurring issue,” he said.
