Two Special Sub-inspectors of Tamil Nadu Police were transferred to the state Armed forces on Wednesday after they allegedly joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). The transferred Sub Inspectors were identified as Rajendran and Karthikeyan. They allegedly joined the saffron party in the presence of Tamil Nadu BJP chief Annamalai while he was visiting this district as part of his ongoing state-wide “En Mann En Makkal” (My Soil, My People) yatra. The suspended SIs Rajendran and Karthikeyan who were engaged in security during Annamalai’s Yatra in Tamil Nadu’s Thanjavur district on December 27, joined the BJP while in police uniform.
