Modi holds high level meet on Russia’s attack on Ukraine

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi today reportedly chaired a high-level meeting to take stock on the situation in view of Russia’s attack on Ukraine.

According to reports, National Security Advisor Ajit Doval and others were part of the meeting.

After facing criticism from the West and questions on India’s stand over the Russia-Ukraine crisis, Russia has praised India, it is to be noted.

Russian chargé d’affaires Roman Babushkin said that the Vladimir Putin government welcomes India’s unbiased stand on the situation in Ukraine.

‘India, as a non-permanent member of the UN Security Council, is playing the vital role of a responsible global power, and has adopted an independent and balanced approach to global affairs’, he said.
