Sivakarthikeyan’s highly anticipated historical drama Parasakthi has been cleared for release with a U/A 16+ certificate by the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC), paving the way for its January 10 theatrical debut.

The film, directed by Sudha Kongara and starring Sivakarthikeyan, Ravi Mohan, Atharvaa, and Sreeleela, faced earlier delays when the CBFC suggested cuts related to its sensitive portrayal of student agitation against Hindi imposition in the 1960s.

Parasakthi explores a pivotal chapter in Tamil Nadu’s socio-political history and has generated strong buzz ahead of its Pongal release. With certification now in place, the film is set to hit screens across the country tomorrow.
