With thousands of devotees expected to throng Vaishnavite temples across Tamil Nadu on the occasion of Vaikunta Ekadasi tomorrow, temple administrations and district authorities have made elaborate preparations to ensure smooth darshan as the sacred Sorga Vasal (Vaikunta Dwaram) is opened in the early hours.

At the Sri Ranganathaswamy Temple in Srirangam, one of the most prominent Vaishnavite shrines, extensive crowd-management measures have been implemented. Multiple queue systems, barricades, regulated entry points, temporary shelters, drinking water arrangements and medical assistance facilities have been put in place. Police personnel and volunteers will be deployed round-the-clock, while special provisions have been arranged for senior citizens and differently abled devotees.

In Chennai, the Sri Parthasarathy Temple, Triplicane, is also gearing up for massive footfall. The sacred gate will be opened early in the morning, with authorities organising separate queues, extended darshan timings and enhanced security deployment. Traffic regulations will also be implemented around the temple to manage the expected surge of devotees.

Across the state, other Divya Desam temples, including those in Kanchipuram, Tiruvallur, Madurai, and important Vishnu temples in Chennai such as Kesava Perumal and Madhava Perumal temples, have also strengthened arrangements. Special poojas, additional volunteers, improved basic amenities and continuous monitoring systems have been planned to handle the festival rush.

Devotees are urged to cooperate with officials and follow guidelines as temples gear up for a peaceful and spiritually significant Vaikunta Ekadasi celebration.
