These MoUs attracted investments worth Rs 36,660.35 crore and are expected to create 56,766 job opportunities across various districts of the State. The projects are spread over multiple sectors and are aimed at accelerating industrial growth and strengthening the state’s economy.

The remaining 45 MoUs were signed by the MSME Department, envisaging investments of Rs 1,100.20 crore and offering 4,706 jobs. This conclave follows similar meets held across the state. At the Coimbatore Investors Conclave on November 25, a total of 158 MoUs were signed, attracting Rs 43,844 crore in investments and creating 1,00,709 jobs. This included Rs 7,020 crore from 26 MoUs in Germany, creating 15,320 jobs, and Rs 8,496 crore from 7 MoUs in the UK, generating 2,293 jobs. The largest among them was an MoU with the UK-based Hinduja Group, committing an investment of Rs 7,500 crore in Tamil Nadu.

According to an official release, Tamil Nadu is currently the second-largest economy in India and a leading state in manufacturing and exports. As per the 2024–25 Economic Survey, the State has been performing exceptionally well in attracting investments and generating employment, especially for women. The government is committed to creating more job opportunities for the youth and is working towards achieving the target of making Tamil Nadu a USD 1 trillion economy by 2030 through continuous investment promotion and industrial expansion.
