AIADMK General Secretary Edappadi K. Palaniswami (EPS) has accused the DMK government of acting with selfish motives in the ongoing kidney scam in Tamil Nadu. He said the public will teach the ruling party a lesson in the 2026 Assembly elections.EPS criticised the DMK for cancelling the licences of two private hospitals involved in illegal kidney and organ transplant surgeries, including one owned by a DMK MLA. The Cethar Hospital in Tiruchirappalli, whose licence was cancelled, moved the Chennai High Court and got the order overturned.
He blamed the government lawyers for failing to argue properly in court, which helped the hospital escape punishment. EPS said Chief Minister M.K. Stalin was more interested in protecting his party members than the welfare of the people.
He compared the government to careless caretakers who watch harm unfold and warned that such selfish acts will not go unpunished. EPS assured that if AIADMK returns to power, all those involved will face legal action.
