Dubai, Nov 5: Pakistan’s fast bowler Haris Rauf has been banned for two matches and fined 30 percent of his match fees for breaching the ICC Code of Conduct during the Asia Cup 2025 matches against India. Rauf accumulated four demerit points in two separate incidents, leading to suspension under ICC’s disciplinary framework.India’s captain Suryakumar Yadav was also fined 30 percent of his match fees and received two demerit points for actions deemed to bring the game into disrepute.
The ICC held hearings following incidents during the matches on September 14, 21, and 28.Rauf’s violations included provocative gestures during games, while Suryakumar faced charges for politically charged remarks and refusing handshakes with Pakistani players.
Haris Rauf’s suspension means he will miss Pakistan’s upcoming ODIs against South Africa.
