Kanchipuram, Sept 23: Tamil Nadu Handlooms and Textiles Minister R. Gandhi indirectly criticized actor-politician Vijay during a public address. Speaking in Kanchipuram, he said, “When elections approach, he comes to the streets and speaks as he pleases.”The minister added that government officials have been instructed not to respond to such comments, following directions from the party leadership.
Vijay, who leads the Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK), has been making statements on issues like NEET and other government policies. Gandhi emphasized that while people can express their opinions, these remarks do not affect the state government’s work.
