Dubai, Sept 23: Indian captain Suryakumar Yadav stated that the term “rivalry” does not apply to India-Pakistan cricket anymore, citing India’s dominant record in recent matches. After India’s six-wicket win in the Asia Cup Super 4 match, Yadav pointed out that a true rivalry exists only when contests are closely matched, which he believes is not the case currently.
India’s strong performance, highlighted by a 105-run opening partnership between Abhishek Sharma and Shubman Gill, underscores the team’s dominance and has shifted the traditional narrative of the Indo-Pak cricket rivalry.
