AIADMK leader Edappadi K. Palaniswami (EPS) has said his party will form the next government in Tamil Nadu on its own.
Speaking at a meeting in Thiruvarur, he said, “We are not fools to share the government.”
He added that the AIADMK will win with a clear majority in the 2026 Assembly elections. He also said the party does not plan to share power with anyone, including the BJP.
EPS’s strong words were in response to questions about possible power-sharing with allies.
Tamil Nadu BJP President Nainar Nagendran reacted to the statement. He said there was no hidden message in what EPS said.
Nagendran explained that EPS was only replying to the DMK’s claims. DMK had said the BJP would control the AIADMK and Tamil Nadu.
Nagendran added, “EPS was just defending his party. There is no issue between us.”
