AIADMK General Secretary Edappadi K. Palaniswami (EPS) has launched a sharp attack on the DMK government, raising serious questions about its unfulfilled promises and rising burden on the public. In a strongly worded statement, EPS questioned Chief Minister M.K. Stalin about the DMK’s earlier assurance to restore the old pension scheme for government employees. “What happened to that promise?” he asked, adding that lakhs of government staff have been left disappointed.
EPS also criticized the government for its handling of basic services and finances. He pointed out that people across Tamil Nadu are struggling due to steep increases in electricity charges and taxes. Poor governance and administrative failures have further affected daily life, he claimed.
The AIADMK leader said there is growing dissatisfaction among all sections of the Tamil community. He noted that during his recent tour of Coimbatore, the enthusiastic response from the public clearly showed their desire for change. According to him, this support indicates that AIADMK is on track to return to power with a strong majority.
EPS firmly stated that the DMK has failed to deliver on its promises and has pushed the state into crisis. “In the 2026 Assembly elections, we will bring an end to Stalin’s rule. AIADMK will lead Tamil Nadu out of darkness and into a new golden era,” he declared.
The statement marks a renewed effort by the AIADMK to rally support ahead of the 2026 polls, focusing on key issues such as pensions, cost of living, and governance.
