Tamil Maanila Congress (TMC) leader G.K. Vasan has alleged that the DMK government is engaging in politics based on caste and religion. Addressing the media, Vasan claimed that the ruling party is using divisive strategies to hold onto power and divert public attention from real issues.
He noted that the AIADMK-led alliance is gaining strength, particularly in rural Tamil Nadu, where public dissatisfaction with the DMK is reportedly growing. Vasan extended support to AIADMK leader Edappadi K. Palaniswami’s upcoming statewide tour and said it would lay the foundation for political change in Tamil Nadu.
Vasan also praised the BJP government at the Centre, stating that the party had achieved in 11 years what others could not do in 50 years. He accused the DMK of resorting to identity politics to counter the growing influence of the AIADMK-BJP alliance in the state.
