Chennai:
Chief Minister M.K. Stalin has strongly criticised AIADMK leader Edappadi K. Palaniswami (EPS), accusing him of surrendering the legacy of former Chief Minister C.N. Annadurai (Anna) to the BJP.

Speaking at a public meeting in Tirupattur, Stalin said EPS has aligned himself with the BJP, a party that is trying to divide Tamil Nadu using religion and caste. He said the AIADMK has allowed the BJP to use its platform to spread communal politics.

Stalin claimed that the BJP is using fake religious sentiment to gain votes in Tamil Nadu. He said Tamil Nadu is known for religious harmony, and that the DMK government has renovated over 3,000 temples and supported all religious communities.

He also accused AIADMK leaders of staying silent when offensive videos targeting Periyar, Anna, and former CM Karunanidhi were shown at a recent event backed by BJP supporters.

Stalin said such silence proves that EPS has given up the principles of Anna for political gain. He urged the people of Tamil Nadu to protect the state’s values and not fall for the BJP-AIADMK alliance’s tactics.
