The Chennai police have launched an inquiry after a 40-year-old man allegedly coerced his 8-year-old daughter into filing a false Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) complaint against his 60-year-old father, accusing him of sexual assault, officials confirmed According to the child protection officer’s questioning, the girl stated that her father pressured her into making the false accusation “to take revenge on her grandfather”
Investigations revealed frequent disputes between the father and the grandfather, triggered when the grandfather criticized his son for his unstable employment.
Police began probing the matter after the girl retracted her claim, clearly stating she had not been abused. Authorities now plan further investigation to determine appropriate legal action following the girl’s statement and ongoing family conflict
