In his address, Vijay Antony heaped praise on Leo, describing him as one of the most dedicated individuals he has ever worked with. “There are no sincere people like Leo. He is ten times more sincere than anyone and makes others match his level of commitment,” said Antony. He added that Leo’s involvement in filmmaking is so intense that many are often confused whether he is the director, even when he is working as just the editor.

Vijay Antony also reflected on his own career journey, cautioning Leo not to abandon his editing career. “Don’t make the mistake I made when I started acting. Continue working as an editor even after this film’s release, because you are a gifted talent,” he advised.

The actor took the opportunity to thank director Sasi, a key figure in his career. He recalled Sasi’s support during the making of Dishyum and later during Pichaikkaran, the film that became a major turning point in his acting journey. “Even if I go on to do 1000 films, it wouldn’t compare to Pichaikkaran. He introduced me as a music director and then, ten years later, as an actor,” said Antony, who confirmed that he would soon collaborate with Sasi again.

He also appreciated Sasi’s sense of balance in storytelling, particularly acknowledging how his co-star Ajay (Dhishan) was given an equally significant role in their upcoming collaboration.

Maargan, which was initially titled Gagana Maargan, boasts a strong supporting cast, including Samuthirakani, Mahanati Shankar, and Prithika. With Leo John Paul stepping into direction and Vijay Antony leading the cast, expectations are high for this intense, emotionally charged film.
