PM Modi Departs for a Two-Day Visit to Thailand

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has left for Thailand on a two-day visit to attend the BIMSTEC summit in Bangkok. The Bay of Bengal Initiative for Multi-Sectoral Technical and Economic Cooperation (BIMSTEC) is an alliance of seven countries—India, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Nepal, Thailand, Myanmar, and Bhutan—focusing on regional collaboration.
The summit, held today and tomorrow, will discuss key areas such as maritime security, tourism, space research, and counter-terrorism efforts. During his visit, PM Modi is also expected to hold important discussions with leaders from Thailand, Bangladesh, and Sri Lanka.
Additionally, it has been announced that PM Modi will visit Sri Lanka from April 4 to April 6 for a diplomatic tour
