Union Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting and Parliamentary Affairs, L. Murugan, on Sunday declared that BJP workers would spare no effort in their mission to unseat the ruling DMK government and bring the BJP to power in Tamil Nadu in the 2026 Assembly elections.
Addressing BJP cadres at a pro-budget meeting in Nungambakkam, Chennai, Murugan launched a scathing attack on the DMK government, accusing it of failing on multiple fronts, including law and order, corruption, and women’s safety.
“The DMK government, which came to power in 2021, has been an unmitigated disaster for the people of Tamil Nadu,” Murugan stated, alleging that the ruling party’s policies have been driven by self-interest, cronyism, and corruption.
He further criticized the government for its poor record on women’s safety, arguing that Tamil Nadu, once known for its progressive values, has now become a place where women feel increasingly vulnerable.
However, Murugan expressed confidence in the BJP’s ability to secure victory in 2026, emphasizing the party’s commitment to clean governance, transparency, and accountability.
“The BJP will work tirelessly to provide an efficient and responsive government that prioritizes the needs of Tamil Nadu’s people. We will leave no stone unturned in our quest to replace the DMK and form a government that truly represents the ideals of this great state,” he asserted.
