In a press statement, AMMK General Secretary TTV Dhinakaran commented on recent political developments and criticized both the ruling DMK and AIADMK’s Edappadi Palaniswami.

Addressing the tragic incident during the Air Force airshow in Chennai, where five people lost their lives, Dhinakaran stated, “We have not politicized this unfortunate event. However, when the late Chief Minister Jayalalithaa came to bathe at the Kumbakonam Mahamaham tank and a mishap occurred, it was DMK that took the incident to every corner and made it a political issue.”

He further alleged that if they point out the mistakes committed by DMK or mention the involvement of DMK leaders in drug trafficking and sales, it would be labeled as “political.” According to Dhinakaran, in Tamil Nadu, only the Chief Minister and his family enjoy complete security, while the safety of the common people is compromised.

Dhinakaran expressed concerns over the increase in crimes against women, robbery, and murder, attributing them to the widespread usage of drugs like marijuana. He blamed the government for failing to control drug abuse, resulting in a lack of public safety. He claimed that contract killings are on the rise in Tamil Nadu, turning the state into a hub for drug activities. He also supported Tamil Nadu Governor Ravi’s recent statement that law and order in the state is deteriorating.

Dhinakaran called for all loyalists of Jayalalithaa to unite in order to defeat the “evil force” of DMK. Criticizing Palaniswami, he said, “Those who blindly support Palaniswami just because he holds the ‘two leaves’ symbol are deceiving themselves. They need to wake up to the reality.”

He asserted that AMMK, with the support of the people and strong alliances, would defeat DMK and also bring down Palaniswami, who he claimed is acting as DMK’s “B-team.” Dhinakaran predicted that this change would happen by 2026.
