Actor-turned-politician Vijay is set to officially unveil the flag of his newly-formed party, Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK), on August 22. The much-anticipated event will take place at the party’s headquarters in Panaiyur, Chennai, marking a significant milestone in Vijay’s political journey.

According to sources close to TVK General Secretary N Anand, Vijay will introduce the party’s flag in the presence of key functionaries and supporters. “Our party’s flag will be hoisted on a 30-foot flagpole located at our headquarters by our Thalapathy Vijay. We have invited around 300 functionaries from Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Puducherry, and Karnataka, as well as 100 journalists to witness this momentous occasion,” a TVK associate revealed.

Preparations for the event are in full swing, with reports confirming that Vijay personally visited the headquarters on Monday, August 19, to review the arrangements.

The flag-hoisting ceremony on August 22 will serve as TVK’s first official political event, signaling the party’s readiness to enter the political arena.
