In a recent statement, Kishore Kumar, the State General Secretary of the Hindu Munnani, has accused police officials of attempting to cover up a plot to assassinate Kadeswara Subramaniam, the State President of the Hindu Munnani.
According to Kishore Kumar’s statement, a registered letter was sent a few days ago to the BJP office in Palani, claiming that a group was undergoing terrorist training and that ten members associated with a Muslim organization were planning to assassinate Kadeswara Subramaniam. Following this, a complaint was lodged with the police.
Kishore Kumar has alleged that police officials, instead of investigating the matter thoroughly, tried to downplay the seriousness of the issue. He claims the police have dismissed the letter’s contents as baseless threats meant to intimidate, without conducting a proper investigation into the people mentioned in the letter. He criticized this approach as deeply unfortunate.
He further stated that the threat posed by Islamic fundamentalist terrorism has adversely affected industrial growth in Tamil Nadu, a fact that the state government has failed to recognize. He condemned the police for allegedly attempting to cover up the plot against a leader who serves as a protector of Hindus and demanded immediate action against those involved in the conspiracy.
Kishore Kumar has also called for the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) to take over the investigation. In his statement, he mentioned that a letter has been sent to Union Home Minister Amit Shah regarding the matter.
