With the release of Demonte Colony 2 set for August 15, Arulnithi shares insights into his role and the making of the film. Directed by Ajay Gnanamuthu, the sequel promises to build on the success of its predecessor.
Arulnithi, who reprises his role in the film, expressed enthusiasm about the project. “Demonte Colony 2 will be an engaging movie. Ajay Gnanamuthu has put in his best effort, and I believe the results will speak for themselves,” he said. The film, which also stars Priya Bhavani Shankar, Meenakshi Govindarajan, VJ Archana, Arun Pandian, Sarjano Khalid, and Muthukumaran, is highly anticipated by fans of the original.
In the sequel, Arulnithi plays Raghu, an architect. “We erected a huge set in Hosur, including a massive fish tank that plays a crucial role in the film,” he detailed. The film’s production faced significant challenges, particularly with its extensive VFX requirements. “We completed the movie and had to wait for the VFX work. The film demanded a lot of VFX, and I’m pleased with how it has turned out,” he added.
Arulnithi reassured fans that Demonte Colony 2 would not be a typical horror film. “It’s not going to be a regular horror movie. We’ve taken great care to ensure it meets the high standards set by the first part. The audience will come with huge expectations for the sequel, and we’re confident that it will live up to them.”
He also hinted at the potential for future sequels. “All characters in the movie play important roles. Given the success of the first film, it wouldn’t be surprising if we see more sequels in the future,” he said.
Describing himself as a director’s actor, Arulnithi praised Gnanamuthu’s direction. “I did everything the director asked for, and I believe the end product has come out well. Ajay has a clear vision, and it was a pleasure to work with him again,” he noted.
As the release date approaches, Arulnithi and the team behind Demonte Colony 2 are hopeful that the film will captivate audiences and continue the legacy of the successful original.
