Consulate-General of Japan in Chennai in association with JAPAN Thiruvizha Committee is organizing a mega one-day festival JAPAN Thiruvizha@ Coimbatore on Saturday 3 August from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. at Dr NGP Institute of Technology, Conference Centre 2nd Floor (Dr.N.G.P. Nagar, Kalpatti Main Road, Coimbatore).

JAPAN Thiruvizha is the first Japan festival organized in Coimbatore. It is a platform that brings together Japanese residents in India, Japanese companies, students from the Japanese language schools, school and college students to participate in the Thiruvizha
performing Japanese music, anime, dance and participating in the
karaoke contest.

JAPAN Thiruvizha has an array of cultural events such as dance and music performance by Japanese and local students. Music Unit from Mumbai will be performing Japanese songs. Japanese musician Hidaka Asonuma, Violinists will mesmerize the spell bound audience playing Japanese and Indian songs.

JAPAN Thiruvizha is not only to introduce the culture of Japan, but provide guidance to the students “how to build career in Japan”, as well as to create new business opportunities for the entrepreneurs in Coimbatore between both the countries. Panel discussion by experts from Japanese companies based in Coimbatore will discuss on the career opportunities and corporate culture difference between Japan and India and share their experiences.
