New Delhi: Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann launched a scathing attack on the BJP-led central government, accusing it of imprisoning Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leaders who have made significant improvements in Delhi’s education and health sectors.
Mann condemned the arrests of Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, his former deputy Manish Sisodia, and ex-Minister Satendar Jain, terming them politically motivated.
“When education improved, Manish Sisodia was put in jail, when health services improved, Satendar Jain was put in jail, and when it was seen that the whole country is supporting Arvind Kejriwal, he too was arrested and put in jail by the BJP government,” Mann said at a public meeting.
Mann urged the public not to be swayed by minor concessions like the recent Rs 100 price cut for cooking gas, and called for sweeping political change in Haryana and across India under Arvind Kejriwal’s leadership.
“Modi ji loots for almost four years and in the end gives a lollipop to the public by reducing the price of LPG cylinder by Rs 100,” Mann said.
