After a long hiatus, the prestigious Tamil film production house ‘Roja Combines,’ known for producing classics like “Pennin Manathai Thottu” and “Devathayai Kanden,” has resumed its film production activities. Spearheaded by producer M. Kaja Mydeen, the company aims to create a film with a strong storyline.
To achieve this, they have enlisted the talented director Prabhu Solomon, known for his acclaimed films like “Mynaa,” “Kumki,” “Kayal,” and “Sembi.” The film, titled “Mambo,” will feature music composed by his regular collaborator, D. Imman. The film marks the debut of Vijay Srihari, grandson of veteran actor Vijayakumar and son of actor Akash. Popular comedian Yogi Babu also plays a significant role in the film.
The first look and title announcement event for “Mambo” took place in Chennai.
Actor Vijayakumar expressed his delight at the event’s success, crediting director Prabhu Solomon for the impressive organization. Speaking about Vijay Srihari, he said, “Vijay Srihari has continuously refined himself over the years. After consulting with ‘Superstar’ Rajinikanth and fulfilling his father Akash’s wishes, we decided to introduce him as a lead actor under Prabhu Solomon’s direction. With the support of producer Kaja Mydeen, this film has become a grand project. I pray that it achieves great success with everyone’s blessings.”
Director Prabhu Solomon, in his speech, said, “I have always wanted to make a world-class film for children. ‘Mambo’ is that film. I had immense faith in the story’s potential and narrated it to ‘Superstar’ Rajinikanth and producer Gnanavel.”
