Anbumani Ramadoss, campaigning for the PMK’s candidate in the Mayiladuthurai Lok Sabha constituency, emphasized the importance of supporting their candidate to address the region’s issues effectively.During his campaign, Anbumani highlighted his past efforts to safeguard the delta districts from development projects that could affect fertility. He mentioned that former Chief Minister Edappadi K. Palaniswami enacted an Act in response to his pressure, reflecting his commitment to the region’s welfare.
Anbumani pointed out the recent statement by Karnataka’s Chief Minister Siddaramaiah regarding the construction of the Mekedatu dam and criticized Chief Minister M.K. Stalin’s silence on the issue, suggesting a lack of clarity on his party’s stance.
Without directly naming the Congress candidate contesting from the constituency, Anbumani questioned the relevance of voting for a candidate not connected to the Prime Minister. He urged voters to support the PMK candidate, emphasizing that doing so would enable him to directly represent their concerns to the Prime Minister.
Furthermore, Anbumani suggested that AIADMK voters would be wasting their votes as their party lacks alliances with any national party, implying that supporting the PMK candidate would be a more effective choice for the constituency’s interests.
